Where You At? 2022 Edition

 November 2022

And here is your year-end wrap of where we are currently. Almost like a Christmas card, but not exactly.

J:

So, J is now J & C. And they are wonderful.

J is working locally and going to school, working toward a degree involving Kinesiology. Whether that be Physical Therapy or some aspect of Sports Medicine, we'll see. It's an exciting step. :) He and C are teaching the 9 years olds together as Primary Teachers in their ward. Our family cat, Chewbacca, lives with them. J has a new collection of lightsabers and also loves the summers on Lake Tapps. C is great - she's doing hair at a salon (she's very talented). They've gone on some cool trips this year and share the best adventures. So very happy for them. :)

E spent 2022 going back and forth between the Seattle area (where we live) and South Eastern Virginia (where her friends live and where she spent most of her High School years). She made her inaugural trip to Europe by way of Amsterdam, and then by train through Brussels into Paris. She's not quite sure about her next step whether it be school or work. She's actively doing artwork. She loves Pokemon, D&D, Comicon, Arcane, and can't wait to visit New York again.

W is getting through his senior year. He's in his first semester of ASL and really enjoying it. He and E took classes over the summer to get their driver's licenses. The state has some waiting time as a requirement and W should be finishing up here soon. He's not sure what he wants to do after High School, but it may be something in the aviation field. He loves ramen and his VR headset.

J/Me/I have been with my current company for almost a year and it's wonderful. It's opened the world to me and to the kids in a way that has been huge. I'm grateful for it in my life. For the first time this year, I was able to visit Europe: Milan, Krakow, Warsaw, Amsterdam, Brussels, and Paris. I hope next year to visit more places. I feel like there's so much of the world I have not yet seen, but really want to.

I'm grateful for the kids, for my family. I'm thankful for the opportunity to be together. I'm even thankful for the challenges - they show me who I am, what I'm made of, and even where I must grow.

Overall, life is wonderful. Amazing. Beautiful.
